Bearings and energy chains for commercial vehicles

Heavy loads, dirt, heat, low temperatures and humidity: commercial vehicles and lorries have a rough working day. No tradesperson can afford downtime, and usually the tight schedules do not allow time for maintenance. Energy chains, plain bearings and linear guides made of iglidur plastics help you increase reliability in and around the vehicle at many fault-prone places. The products are characterised by a high level of robustness, predictable running times and the fact that they do not require lubrication. No lubricants also means no dirt contained in the grease that limits mobility.

Tech up

  • Lubrication and maintenance-free
  • Less installation space and lower weight
  • Quiet, smooth operation

Cost down

  • Cost-effective and easy assembly
  • Avoid failures with service life calculator

Tested in the test laboratory for use in the real world

Continuous load, media resistance, low noise

In the industry's largest test laboratory for plastics, iglidur plain bearings, drylin linear technology and igubal coupling joints are put through their paces. The focus is on investigating the tribological specifications of different material pairings and testing assemblies. The results are incorporated into our tools for service life calculation and enable exact predictions of durability.

Upon request, igus carries out customer tests to check product use under customised conditions.
